Huawei to launch public Cloud in South Africa to boost digitization in Africa

By CORRESpONDENT, NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 11 – Huawei is set to build its public Cloud in South Africa to provide cloud services to all sub-Saharan African countries. This is another significant move by the leading global leading ICT solutions provider to accelerating its cloud business across the world.

South Africa is an important piece of HUAWEI CLOUD’s globalisation map. According to the plan, Huawei will hold a launching ceremony on 14th November in Cape Town for its first African station in Johannesburg.

So, it is no surprise that in the dead of winter I think about sunshine ALL-THE-TIME, and I dream about every possible way that I can make my days warmer until summer is finally here reenex. Hello Beautiful. Yup, I am talking to you Friday. It is so nice to see you again. You really should come around far more often than once a week. Friday’s are a wonderful thing. Nick works a lot of weekends but luckily for me, he has had the past few Saturday’s off and that has made Friday even sweeter.

We so enjoy our weekends and it is no surprise that they largely revolve around food. Friday is for date night. Saturday is for brunch and Sunday is family dinner. I love family dinner. Everyone is all together and for a couple of hours it is as though we never grew up. There are 6 of us kids so when we were younger there were always a lot of seats filled at the dinner table. Our house looked like Thanksgiving dinner…just about every night of the week.

Now most of us have grown and we all are fairly busy but we try to have family dinner as often as we can. Our table has grown even bigger with spouses, kids, girlfriends and boyfriends….but I love it.

As the food blogger in the family I usually end up making up the dinner menu and let me tell you, this family can eat ! But it is summer so everyone is looking for lighter foods and trying to keep their summer bodies so I decided to whip up this lighter hot caramelized onion and bacon dip. Talk about comfort food! I served them up with Blue Diamond Artisan Nut Thins, which have the perfect amount of crunch! They are gluten-free, full of brown rice, quinoa and flax seed. Absolutely perfect for dipping.

This dip was a huge hit with the family. I started with two yellow onions and caramelized them till they were nice and sweet. Next I cooked up three pieces of good-quality bacon. I wanted the full flavor that bacon provides but you could substitute turkey bacon if you dislike pork or want a little bit of a healthier option. For the creamy element in this dish I used low fat cream cheese and protein packed greek yogurt. I love using greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise or sour cream. I promise you won’t even miss all the fat and calories. The decadent part of this dish is the Applewood Smoked Gruyere Cheese. If you can’t find the applewood smoked variety then you can use plain gruyere but I really love the smokiness that comes from the applewood.

My favorite part about this dish is that it is made in one skillet! After all the elements are added, you just toss it in the oven to bake until golden bubbly. Serve it up with some Blue Diamond Artisan Nut Thins and you have the perfect appetizer for Sunday dinner or just all by yourself (I won’t tell).

They are fried, they taste like Christmas AND they may or may not have a little surprise inside. Ah ha. I totally stuffed some Nutella into half of the beignets I made and we all agreed the chocolate beignets are the way to go. Chocolate is always the way to go. –Learning life lessons here people youfind online.

These are just as simple as any other beignet recipe only we are adding molasses, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Also known as the smells of Christmas and yes, the dough smells incrediblegroom suit rental!

They honestly could not be more perfect. Just a light dusting of powdered sugar and a dip through some hot cocoa and you’re in for a warm winter treat. No really Web Vulnerability Scan.

Which brings me to the hot chocolate. You simply just cannot eat the beignets without a piping mug of hot cocoa, you just can’t.

I actually have a few hot chocolate recipes I want to share this month, but this is the perfect one for today. It’s creamy, silky and perfectly chocolatey. The mocha, while very subtle, just makes the chocolate shine and the pinch of cinnamon ties it together with the beignets. I am telling you – sinfully good.

If you plan on making these (which of course you really should), may I suggest you make them on the snowiest day possible? I know not all of you live in snowy locations, but if you do, wait for the snow. Snow makes desserts like this just magical. You can eat a beignet (or two or three) and slowly enjoy a giant mug of hot chocolate all while sitting by the fire with the tree lit up and music playing.

Doesn’t that sound so peaceful? Oh my gosh, if that could ever happen in real life I’d be so pleased. Can’t you telling I am just itching for some peace and quiet? Too many people in this house still. Barns almost done though. Can’t believe it. Nervous and excited all at the same time!

For everyone in warm places. Umm, use your imagination and decorate galore. That’s always fun too! then just kick back in the glow of your colored lights and relax with warm beignets and cocoa!

Finally, thank God it is Friday. I am going to sleep. Seriously.

Remember that cold I was telling you about yesterday? It kind of sort of turned into a not so nice cold and I really just want to sleep all day and night. Probably will not be able to do that because I do not have the gene that my brothers seem have that allows them to sleep all day and night. But I can try. I’ll probably just end up realizing it’s pointless though. Then I’ll go make gingerbread beignets and spiced hot cocoa because that’s just what I do.

Now I said I’d share my journey to getting this household organized today. It didn’t happen. At all. I managed to get her huuuuge array of clothes sorted, but that’s it. Because Little Miss Giggles turned into Little Miss Grumpypants and I had to eat my pasta lunch while walking around in our home, carrying her in her wrap. The rest of the day I did some blog work while hopping up and down like a crazy person to keep my baby asleep. She really has trouble staying asleep during the day. Moms, any tips? Dinner was pasta – AGAIN Don’t call me out on how many times per week I’m eating pasta at the moment, it’s embarrassing. And then we had a very rocky bedtime routine – and 8 hours of sleep in a row! I don’t know what it was about that light and fluffy couscous salad which was subtly flavored with mint and citrus that just took me from “I’m jet-lagged and I don’t want anymore junk food” mode to “I’m rested and ready to see the sights,” but I swear it had magical powers.

Obviously when I got back home to the States, I ran right to the kitchen to recreate this magical dish. Or I got around to it a few weeks later… Either way, I can now enjoy this delicious summery salad at home and so can you. You’re welcome.

Just like all my other summery grain-based salads, this couscous salad is super easy to throw together. Like, you could almost make this during a commercial break. I said, almost! Maybe that’s why I love these salads so much? No one wants to spend hours laboring away in the kitchen when it’s 85 and summer out, ‘specially not me!

Anyways, all you gotta do is cook the couscous which is so easy I want to cry. Then, whisk the pomegranate seeds, herbs and liquids together and toss them with the couscous. Ta da! It’s that simple.

And, once you’re done, you have a nice, little, fluffy salad of couscous to lay your head on and cuddle….I mean to eat. I don’t cuddle my food. No, really, I don’t. OK, maybe just that once….

I’ve never been a huge fan of green beans. They used to be that vegetable that I ate because they were cheap at the farmers market, not hating them but never fully enjoying them. Until these roasted green beans changed my life. I don’t know why it had never occurred to me to roast green beans before, but if you’re like me and somehow missed the memo on this one, go roast some now glass tea infuser pot.

In this version of roasted green beans, the beans are covered in a vinegary dill sauce, a type of pesto made with roasted almonds, dill, parsley and scallions. The vinegar makes the sauce taste more like a dressing, which is the perfect flavor for a summer side dish. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’d imagine the dill sauce would also be the perfect compliment to grilled chicken, fish (like salmon) or even steak hong kong business school.
